This board is getting so immature.  I bought 65,000 shares last week for fun.   I also internally realized all corporate gains so I can continue to hold and collect the dividend. There is no doubt the new capital gains tax had an impact on the share price of many energy stocks last week. Check out the Friday volume.  No buyers and all sellers.  Monday price bounced as ...more

Thanks for your post = Bang on - and to add, now that capital gains is going to be taxed, much heavier, dividend stocks will become more favourable than capital gains type stocks like ATH It might take a while for people to figure out this tax advantage or shift…H3LL, we are getting close to 11% now… Most investors are happy with a combined capital gains and dividend income of 12% per year as a ...more

That's what I figure to or a friend.  Someone just put about 100,000 shares up at 6.78 a share.  I would suspect only a short seller would put that many up for sale at once.
