If anyone is long term CLR , the drip is a must.   Get paid to hold, it’s a nice yield and 3% bonus shares really add up over time , compounded.

TM >>>FYI: Totally agree on your DRIP theory/statement.  Note:  we only like to  DRIP in our TFSA/RRSP/RRIF accounts as cash input in very limited /restricted as all are maxed. In our Cash accounts we like to put the extra Div/Dist cash back to work in other investments (old or new) as most of these holdings are full positions and trimmed back when over weight....We are not ...more

That’s interesting.  My tfs acc is full and I don’t look at it much.  I have serious long term conviction in CLR , so I want those 3% discounted dividend shares going right back into shares .   Its hard to get away from paying tax when taking profits.  I know it’s complicated , but is there a tax reason you do it your way? or do you just prefer to diversify your holdings ?  ...more
