Down 0.40% with ex-dividend day three days away. Next Wednesday (27th) is ex-div day.
Who would sell today except a robot?

It is rather irrational trading IMO.  Hold another few days and you get $0.87 dividend which falls in a very low tax bracket. I'm not sure where the price will be ex-dividend, but the last couple ex-dividend days the price actually went higher and dropper several days later. It's quite the odd stock, but if you're looking at long term, this will be much higher, and I would not ...more

CM is a very good stock for a long term hold with it's $0.87 dividend being the best return of all Banks. The opportunity for future dividend increases and upward share price is there. The problem is the analysis's (the majority of which I ignore)  promote the R/B, BMO and T/D Bank's shamelessly. The unfortnate part of this is that many pensioners and widow's listen to these ...more
