All I know is we are two weeks away from April, that being a third of the way through yet another year 2012. We haven't heard of a single pound of coal being shipped or sold since the Dec 2010 release they are now in production, that was going on 16 x months ago. Again, I am long with a large core position and would really......REALLY like to hear from them with good news on production rates ...more

Cooper90  Give them a call and ask for Ken Bates he will talk to you he did for me. Tel: 1 416 504 7600 They have a new crew and are learning the equipment and the way to work on the supper sections is what he said there are four miners working plus the price of coal has dropped in the last few days, could not get amount of coal on the ground or at the rail head.  On the sales he would ...more

4 miners are working, but how many tons of coal mined per day?
Comment by Caerus88 on Mar 20, 2012 7:40pm
Tinyhopes, thanks for making the call and providing the information. I'm concerned that there are only 4 continuous miners working. I had a look at the December 30 NR. They state that they will have 2 miners in the Allen seam by Jan 15 and an additional 2 miners in March. Perhaps this is the 4 miners that are currently running. They then state that they will  install the initial 2 miners ...more

As I said make a call maybe someone will get the other answers that I did not get, some of you are better informed then I am I started the ball rolling. We are not getting any news releases we have to talk to Ken Bates and maybe this way some answers will come out.  None of us are happy as to the way there has been a lake of information coming from head office. Ken did not say anything about ...more

I posted here some 6-9 months ago that by April 2012, they need to have at least 6 CMs operating and producing. We're entering a very critical period and here's why. When you peel away the 2.5-3.0 mil. production forcast for 2012, what you end up with is with all 10 CMs producing for the last 6 months of 2012, the most they would end up with is approx. 1.5-1.8 mil. tons of coal. That means ...more

hey ark, thanks for the comments on china, much appreciated, question about this post.......when you say they will run out of cash by april/may, are you including the other 25 million they will draw on by april 30th, 2012........they stated in their MD&A, they were gonna use the other 25 million before april 30 2012??   thanks for the posts,
Comment by ark88 on Mar 21, 2012 2:33pm
They won't run out of cash by april/may. They need to have sales contracts by april/may or sooner because they will run out of cash by june/july based on $10+/- mil./month operating cost for the front end of 2012 plus capex.
Comment by cooper90 on Mar 21, 2012 4:57pm
They will not run out of cash in June......$50 million in bonds issues, as well 58 x million in the bank = $108 million, if sales are pushed I see them delaying capital expenditures until production is going.....this gives them 12 x months at $8 million a month in operating costs. Even though it's been a long road I don't believe production will be delayed another full year......I would ...more

I don't think you are right. Let's look at the numbers. They had $58 mil at nov. 30. I think the operating burn rate for dec., jan. And feb. is around $8 mil per month. On top of that you have to add capex, like the upgrading of the wash plant to 800 tph and acquiring additional CMs. I think they are probably sitting right now with around $20 mil. Going forward, they will have $10   ...more

This IS the days of all days. the pumper ark88 finally admits this company needs more $$.  For 2 years I've read your posts and OMG you are the ultimate pumper on this thing.  I on the other hand have gained much value in the increase of ignores telling people they will need funding..... 100%... Well NG you called it man.  I just never had the balls to short it.   8 ...more

Agreed no doubt if production does not start by June, July, and in a way to contribute successfully to support operating and capex funding short falls they will need cash 100% and IMO this would considerably dilute share holders, and greatly hurt the stock price for some time to come. I think everyone on the board knows how important it is after 16 x months of so called start-up ...more
