sales contract

I guess production is now not an issue, but rather sales contract.

Given the fact that coal sample has been delivered to potential buyer last August, I am just wondering why there is still no news on it. CMK sold Lossan last Oct, believed it was a good bet on New Elk then.

anybody knew how long usually will take potential buyer to ink a deal on coal business? many thanks. I am long to CMK, hopefully it's near the end of the tunnel.

If you look at all the majors, they are scaling back met coal production due to soft demand and lower prices. You know it is tough when producers are idling long wall operations which is the most cost effective means of mining.  If Cline gets a contract, it is going to be at a much lower price/ton than projected.

It is premature to expect a sales contract. Why would any coal buyer buy from an unproven, unreliable producer such as cline. It would be extremely risky for any company to sign a contract with cline at this time. No, there will be no sales contract in the near future. If I am right, Cline will need to raise money again. Sell, sell, sell is the best move. The company is in deep trouble.
