"Is Mr Bates and co running a pig farm or something? No wonder why this company is going downhill. Probably Mr. Bates would make an excellent pig farmer with the pigs asking no questions about the farm( no offense please to the pigs or the pig farmers."

and this:

"We can't even tell anymore who is the major shareholder in CMK. This management is so secretive, we can hardly find anything on their web site other than smoke and mirrors, pictures and videos of the High Priest, Mr. Bates who does not miss an opportunity to parade his ego on that screen. Mitsui, is the 2nd largest coal company in the world, could it take an interest in CMK along with Mitsubishi , or maybe they won't stoop so low when the company has been thrown into the dumps by Ken Bates ,and his buddy Mcknight the former Minister of Mines(!) of Canada."

Careful now.

You try to push your case pal, hear this. When a CEO and his entourage come out and tell us that in 2011 production would be 1million tons and in 2012, 3thousand tons and then oops 1.7million tons and so forth, two things might be happening either the CEO is a crook or he does not know what he is talking about. And the miss in production target is not 100, 200 or even 500,000 tons it's in the ...more

(TSX:K,NYSE:KGC), a company founded in 1993, is facing lawsuits in Canada and the US on behalf of shareholders from February 16, 2011 to January 17, 2012. The allegations against Kinross involve Securities Act violations, and the Tasiast gold ...more

Tinyhope, these lawsuits  to my opinion are a waste of time and money; It would be very difficult for the plaintifs to prove "intent to mislead".  The CEO may claim incompetence which is not a criminal offense and get away with his blunders. The shareholders would be hard pressed to prove that what he did was with the intent to harm the company.  The court would ...more

Let us hear it, miner 8740, if you know something we don't  or something the company do not want us to know, Let us hear it from the grape vine as long as it's factual no one will dare raise a figure against you or your miner friends. We already know from experience that when it comes to projects there are a lot of loose ends and when managements make projections or ...more
