do they even have the ability to ramp up production if prices improve?

 

i dont know, thats really frusturating as well.........

 

this is really sad, most pepople are investors, not traders, 

this management and BOD took away our investment and our time............i feel like slitting my wrists. (lol)

Don't despair pal, I used to be a WTN shareholder and this stock went from $7 to 54cents at the hight of the crisis. The company had so much debt that it almost went belly up. Yet it survived and thrived. I sold at the bottom and I lost. At least CMK do not have much debt and probably they will weather the storm. I would suggest sell enough shares, if you need some money and let ...more

yeah i agree with teh western comparison, its just frusturating b/c i never "lived" or "experienced" a coal company going through recesiionary cycles..........i just read about GCE and WTN going from dollars to pennies than dollars again.........   its TOTALLY different to "live" through this cycle (coal stocks, steel stocks) rather than just read about past ones ...more

Commodity stocks is the place to be. Don Coxe, the head of Bank of Montreal Financial Services, a man with 40 years experience under his belt was  on BNN this evening and categorically said that the place to be in the market today is in commodities, such as coal, iron ore, gold etc. The S&P 500 has given a negative return the last 13 years as opposed to TSX which has done very well ...more

Timing the market is a mug's game. I have said through this board in the past that "time in the market" wins everytime "timing the market". Unless you want to be a trader or a day trader, timing the market is absolutely critical to survive. You have to be able to read charts, trading patterns and so on. But being an investor, is a totally different ball game. You need to be ...more

 There were similar doom and gloom headlines in 2008-09 , we all know what happened afterwards. It is not that hard to spread fear in the market when you have the right tools. Big players have all the tools to do that, mainly the media. Small investors  who play into their hands and sell their stock at dirt cheap prices are the reason they will repeat the cycle over and over again. If ...more
