Why I bought 200,000 shares of CMK on Friday

I made the deicision to buy into CMK after doing extensive research of all coal companies in TSX that I can bet. Most other juniors in TSX are still exploring and those that in developmental stage needs more than $500 million in CAPEX to start construction.

On the other hand, CMK has more than 600 million tons of resources, purchased equipment and secured all necessary permits. Just the right price and sale contract is the issue with CMK. The debt load is also minimal when compared to other coal companies.

I also like the huge volume the stock trades indicating huge interest among institution investors.

I may be wrong but I feel at this price, the risk is reduced.

Wrong on Romney. Romney and his ilk are hard core monetarists who don't want inflation because it errodes their wealth. They could care less about the pain of the people unemployed. They don't believe in monetary stimulus; they are the so called "Supply Siders" who want to reduce taxes in order to presumably boost investments. Yet, the problem is lack of aggregate demand and not ...more

Lage cap mining stocks are going higher and investors are gaining more appetite for spsculative stocks. Cline will be joining the party  as well. There are also so much money on the side waiting for positive signals to get back in...

The key reason why I invested in it is that I couldt find another junior in TSX to invest in that wouldnt need more than $500 million in CAPEX to fund construction. CMK I believe has secured all the permits in place and already have rail and loading facilities in place and export terminal secured. The coal I believe from the recent analyst tour is real and not forged. The debt load is also not too ...more

The 619 million tons of resource at New Elk will not produce 619 million tons of clean coal for sale in the market. When the resource figure is quoted it includes all the waste rock. The actual amount of clean coal that would be produced is WAY LESS. EOIM, given that you have done so much due diligence on this company why don't you tell us how much coal could theoretically be produced. I' ...more

The run of mine coal resources is offcourse not the same as the clean coal. The point is that CMK has enough coal resources to produce 10 million tons of clean coal for atleast 50 years>

EOIM. You are a dumb*ss. There is no way that CMK will mine 500 million tons of clean coal for sale. Bond was indeed correct with the figures he quoted. 60 million tons over the life of the mine. Not as impressive as when the company talks about a 619 million ton resource. EOIM, your due diligence is very amateur.

In early January 2011, CMK was around $5. Michael Dector, the great Canadian Investment guru, recommended it when it was trading at $3.82, and suggested a price target of $6 to $7.   However since his recommendation, CMK has dropped down to $0.24. Othewr stocks which he recommanded were CAN and RGT, and they also tanked very badly.   Question for experts here is that why CMK has come ...more

mr1derful....why do you call everyone names that do not agree with you???  Last time I checked this is a free country and we have the right to voice our opinions!!!  Why do you think you are so perfect, and that everyone should bow down to you and call you master??? Give it a rest and let people speak their minds....and be respectful when not agreeing with someone's viewpoints!

aatwal. I call it like I see it. I did EOIM a big favor by pointing out a huge flawed assumption. He, along with everyone else, should be thanking me that I share my knowledge. aatwal, you also should have listened to me. I would have saved you from buying 300,000 shares at $.30. The sad thing is that is only half your position. I'm sure you paid north of $2.00 for the other half of your ...more

OMG...reading these posts just make me feel sorry for you guys.  It's a scam, pure and simple.  The point was never to mine coal.  It was to APPEAR that a coal mine exists, then sell it to some dumb foreigner.   Have you guys been to the mine and gone underground?  Have you been to the area?  No....you are sitting at your computers trading stocks trying to hit a ...more

These actions will enable the provision of appropriate volume and cost guidance as the operation tracks from the completion of the opening project through to Phase ...more
