Re: building on illusions

It's ironic that people bought coal stocks on the hope that Romney would win and now they're damning Obama with all the racial overtones mixed with their  pseudo democratic ideals. Instead of blaming their own follies, they pin the blame on OB. It never crossed their minds perhaps that even if Romney had won, what would revive the "coal rennaisance" would not be Romney but the price of gas and coal i.e., the supply and demand of these commodities and their market price. For if gas price remained low, Romney or no Romney, the power utilites industry would go for  gas and not coal. Coal would go and it still may go once the burning of gas is uneconomical Obama or not Obama. The economic forces are more powerful than the political forces that will decide the fate of coal. The EPA regulations play little or no major role in the use of coal. So to blame it on OB that he engineered the down fall of the call industry is a myth. And people are prone to myths and mythology when reason has abandoned them. And what about Romney who closed down a coal power plant when he was governor because  coal "kills people" ?  When asked in the debate by OB, he did not answer the question. But now, being desperate for votes he changed his position like in so many other issues. And like a reckless opportunist he was, he paid the price he deserved.

bond...get a clue and stop pontificating on every comment like some sort of expert.  Your are getting stomped in this stock just like everyione else so quit trying to sound like a know-it-all...

Cokeexpert sorry if I ofended your hero, Mr. Romney. There are no experts in the market and whoever says he is, he is lying. I bought CMK and I have  a large position in it and I hope I'll prosper; but my decisions to buy CMK was not based on some Messiah coming to the rescue, but on objective data, such as met coal being a necessary ingredient for making steel. If my blogs cause you some ...more

Bond is building his/her house on the sand, just like his/her hero, Obama.

Thank you for your kind comments kingyahoo, I like my blogs to have some meaning and if they can be of any help to anyone, so much the better. But some issues that come up on this board, aside from CMK, need to be dealt with at a higher level of abstraction, not for anything else but for the record. So don't mind me venturing all over this is my style of writing. Thanks for your comments ...more
