New Elk Coal Company Update

I tried to call the mine in Weston today and they have the phone system tampered where the calls will not go thru. Many people I have talked to are hearing rumors about the mine opening back up and start production in the next 6-8 weeks. With the coal being shipped off I am starting to wonder if the rumor might be true, it could be very possible the mine signed a sales contract, but it will not start production until all the stocked piled coal is moved out of the mine site and in the mean while the clean up project is happening to bring up the mine to MSHA standards and to get it ready for production to start. I, personally find it very odd and interesting that the phone system will not let the calls go thru, whatever is happening it's a big secret for one reason or another as the local media cannot get in contact with anyone at the mine. I will keep you guys posted with any new information that I might hear or find out.

Thank you for the posts, Sir. The coal appears to be moving (your intel and the job posts confirm this--a cell phone photo would be great!); it is being tested or has been sold. The M. bond holder plan has been abrogated by Cline; abrogating the restructuring agreement suggests another agreement that is more favourable... Thanks again, Coalmnr for the intel--please keep it ...more

I am definitely not buying any shares until there is clarity: i.e., long term contract; all hinges on world economic growth, as steel builds civilizations...
