Final Thoughts

I feel compelled to write something as I've followed this company for well over a decade and held shares for a good portion of that time.

The sad ending of this story began years ago with the ambitions of one man. It was to be his last hurrah, a desire to cap his long career with fame and fortune. Many of us bought into his dream and wanted to be on that journey that promised so much. Nobody could've foreseen the macro economic downturn, but we now know it was his greed and ambition that would ultimately deny him his glorious ending. The 1.5 years on the Blue seam and the millions of dollars spent there, all with the promise of 3 mty in 3 years. Simply put, that is why Cline will cease to exist. He had the option of immediately producing 500k with 2 CMs out of the Allen seam. But no, that was simply not enough for this little man. He may now be a broken man, but he does ironically leave a legacy, the Bates Portal. Quiet literally, the 10 foot wide hole through which is lost not only his dream, but also the millions of dollars of investors money.

Thank you...ark88 and Eigen337 for all your thoughts and input to this BB. We consider ourselves very lucky ....that we currently found a buyer for all our shares and we can also use this experience with Cline as a tax loss for 2013. Live and Learn. Regards, TimeBuilder

Thanks to all posters who made good logical contributions to this BB. Thankful I started to listen to some posters advice on this BB of the red flags when this POS was + $2 and never averaged down. My Capital loss in this one taught me very important Lessons when picking companies . Always do DD on the management team and BOD beforehand is thhe most important one.

If I may add to these, beware next time you hear some analysts jumping on a euphoria wagon pushing for their Top Picks. Specifically to CMK, chief among them a Michael Decter (Go ahead and sue me!) who fearlessly predicted that CMK would be a takeout target in no time at $6-$8 when the s/p was around $4-ish. I consider myself lucky when I bailed all @$0.07 and wow not to ever again step on the ...more
