New Elk Coal Mine is closing the doors!
Hey everyone! It's very unfortunate but the doors to the New Elk Coal Mine are scheduled to close for good early January as many sales contracts fell thru. I have learned this information from several reliable resources that are currently working at the mine. The mine is currently preparing and cleaning up underground and surface equipment and also all the underground equipment is bein retrieved to the surface. Buildings and offices are bein cleaned and inventory is bein taken. Lets be optimistic and let's hope it's not true, but is not looking good. I will keep this bb posted of any new information I might gather as it becomes available.
