Vermilion Energy signs deal to buy Leucrotta Exploration for $477-million
Comment by Oldnagger on Mar 28, 2022 11:07am
The metrics are $36,690 per flowing barrel  or $ 6195 per acre of land. Compare that to Crew at present $1048 million EV for $ 31760 per flowing barrel or $ 3970 per acre !! Of course, now that Leucrotta is gone the field has gotten smaller and any potential acquirer will need to be bigger than VET.

I just went back to the Leucrotta site. Info is very patchy, but it seems that current production rates are  very low. Hence $ per flowing barrel, are rather meaningless. That leaves a land purchase at an evaluation of over $ 5000 per acre. Recall, that at that price Crew's surplus land is worth $7.20 per share !!
