we are toast with these results

at end of day CS price and cost structure only makes sense with >$3 US per lb.  Salvation may be Santa Domingo but they have stayed quiet on that front.
No discussion as to what to do with the funds in the bank....as I would think financing can be by banks given their financial strength.
Not a great day for CS shareholders and I admit to my mistake in buying this.
Still there is potential for SP to move north of $6 but am afraid that i personally paid too much and may need to re-look at whether better to stay here and weather the storm or move to something better (perhaps Copper Mountain?)

any thoughts from long honlders of CS?

I don't know your acb, but I think you're overreacting to the slight earnings dissappointment.  CS is not a high tech growth stock, a slight miss is a different animal than when, for example, ZM or SNAP miss. Cozamin continues to produce  with aisc of less than a dollar even after the silver royalty agreement. PV production was hampered by weather and this increased its acb to c ...more

I concur with Kickhorse, CS runs in same general trend as spot copper.  Buying single names has operational risks than a blend of names.  So if SD is a unique catalyst for CS, then we will know the news for this project by end 2021 per Q3 conf call and whether it is additive/subtractive to the price. Here is the pattern for selective names on my list in this space, whatever your ACB is, ...more

thank you to those that posted the thoughtful and respectful responses.  Very useful and helps to allay some fears that "i was in on this on my own".  Clearly I bought at a high point and am underwater.  I did look at Copper Mountain / and other Canadian listed copper producers. I did my due diligence and read all of the analyst reports and relied mostly on TDWaterhouse ...more

How about a merger with Copper Mtn. Now there would be a powerhouse of copper

I agree, have thought it makes sense for sometime. CMMC is subject to discount as a one mine company, CS has the money to assist with development. Together they would make a very sound company that in turn would be attractive to a major. Three operating mines, two greenfield and a brownfield with further exploration rights. Don't know the corporate cultures well enough to know whether that ...more

Wondering if SD is imminent if they didn't talk a lot about it??? I think SD is going to add lots to the share price with cobalt and copper, iron will be nice too, too bad its value has sunk.
