Surprised!!!

No words or speculation on this board.  Don't get me wrong - completely understand most CSH holders are in and out of the stock - but there is definitely something brewing in my mind...

Capital raised, new regulatory requirements for vac, share price falling.

I ask myself...

- Why does the company need to raise capital??  I don't see aquisitions on the horizon.

- What is the net effect of the vacination regulatory requirement on each and every home??  We generally know that between 5 and 20% of the working population do not want vacinations (primarily depending upon region).  How will this play out with ability to appropriately staff over the short term?

- Why is the SP down over $2 from year high?  Exit strategy by large investor? Quarter/year numbers not sustainable? Staffing not sustainable?  Is my dividend at risk?

Time will tell - but I would love to hear input from others....

I really expected this company, a leader in its field, to LEAD over the last 18 months.

FYI - I am CSH long thus far.

OK I was pretty lucky buying my shares in June 2020. At that time I felt it was pretty much close to the bottom. Too bad I only bought 500 sh. but saw a lots of opportunies elsewhere in those days. My feeling presently for Chartwell:  they aren't much different to others in same area.  You should compare charts with SIA and EXE. They are both in long term care and retirement and were ...more

For CSH EXE and SIA the sector seem to be getting a reversal of MACD  on 12,26,9.  I feel it is good for a move back up for CSH if Mr market stays neutral or positive. If by Friday it remains positive I may add some more. CSH have better analyst ratings than the 2 others.  A bought deal at $13 for over 15M units overallotment included  seems also to be a good signal for retail ...more

Trend seems to have reversed for CSH. Added some on the 12th and now hopping to see it go back to $13 soon. Pretty normal for a stock to drop after issuing 15M shares. CSH is solid and should go back to pre- pandemic levels early 2022. I guess we will also see many older retired people thinking of moving into retirement residences taking the market opportunity of selling their houses at a very ...more

It is safe to say that no one is getting any younger, but they are living longer. Improvements in 'self-care' have made it easier for people to live in their own homes but let's face it, no one wants to take in the surviving parent when one dies. And the oldies know this. So, selling the house and moving into an up market rteirement fascility makes sense. Heck, there may even be enough ...more

Pretty happy I added 500 of them on Oct 12th. Was doing reading this PM and just found this report  on CSH which has good targets. I now feel more secure with my decision to add.
