a very clear presentation that demonstrates focus on the things that need to be done. Clear communication.  If only some of the companies I hold shares in had one half of this focus and disclosure.  JFF7

Lots of good info, especially on their chemical business. The only eye raiser was "committed to a dividend strategy." Sounds a bit vague and will get the nervous analysts anticipating dividend cuts.

Here is the cut and paste from their presentation. Imagine standard provisos and stating the obvious. With new management I hope they are forward looking and should work hard to increase share price and cutting div is counter productive coz in every case because it means there are issues and not helpful to SP ..IMHO Generate returns in the form  of both dividends and growth Committed

philip; I am not aware of any Canadian Companies that “guarantee” their common share dividends. They always say that the dividend will be reviewed and approved by the BOD on a monthly / quarterly or whatever schedule applies.   In Canexus’ current situation there is certainly the possibility of a reduction.
