It all adds to the bottom line

Oil prices continue to climb

I’m under the impression there are to be more layoffs tomorrow. There will likely be up to 2500 people laid due to the merge. This is not all that positive to the people involved which are likely clerical/support staff.
The bottom line from this alone will inject a minimum of $125M annually. I used an average annual salary of $50K which is probably too low. Again sad to see people losing their jobs but business is business.

The janitor at their Calgary head quarters makes more than 50k a year.  All operators are in around 140 to 190k for field guys and upwards of 200 for the control panel.  The layoff will save them a ton. Some of the husky guys I know where making well over 200k a year.

unionized janitors in public schools make more than that, plus gold plated pension.

There are legacy salaries that have gone on way too long. Lay everyone off and let them reapply with salary required like they do in the rest of the world. Everyone in AB energy needs a 40% pay cut at least and 90 % benefits cut. Taxable income will drop and they won't be much worse off. Where else will they get a job LOL - Mexico, QC, TX. Captive workers are the best!

I wonder if we could trade you to the CCP for the 2 Michaels?  What a great transaction that would be.
