Natural gas soaring

It doesn't effect CVE too much but 6 bucks/mcf seemed liked a distant dream just 6 months ago.

Meantime, Dutch electricity rates reached record highs today and according to BNN, if you "back out" the price on an energy basis its the equivalent of 200 bucks a barrel. Sweet.

Some switching from natural gas to oil would benefit CVE.

Good point DB is an overlooked asset from HSE. For SAGD operations where does CVE gets it's natural gas from to fire the steam generators, just buy it on the open market?
Comment by oilandgasmick on Oct 01, 2021 10:05am
I think that there is some "associated" natural gas that is produced with their heavy reserves and SAGD but yes they probably have to buy some on the open market as well.

The whole point of the board is to provide people with info so making "elementary mistakes" is no big deal. There are no real experts here--including you. Most people have forgotten that Deep Basin gas was part of the COP divestitures that CVE inherited and DB is also fraught with its own difficulties.

Sounds like you have lost it again. The only clown here is you and I don't believe that you are a well informed investor--just a troll who has given himself a few thousand "likes"-- nobody buys it because all you twits with thousands of likes are nothing but silly.

Oh my, you have descended into the abyss. Here is something for you to do with the rest of your day. Sign on to your other handles and push the "likes" to over 3,000. Also remember that your alternate identities should offer you great praise on the thread--well, have a good one.

yah, like you yelling at MEG forum don't sell MEG to husky for 11 because you and Eric Nutall believed MEG worth 13-16, and higher bid or a white knight is coming. D

Thanks Mrbb-- for reminding the board of what this twit's track record is really like. Yes, too funny, when Meg was trading at $9.50 he was calling it "easy money" and urging investors to load up before it got to 13-16 bucks. Of course, after the HSE bid collapsed the Meg price declined by 60% so your "easy money" would have left you in a huge loss position.  Board ...more

Eigen, just to get your blood boiling higher, I'm sure you know more about DB than me, but: 1) CVE-HSE Merger Presentation lists DB coming from both, see slide 6: https://huskyenergy.com/downloads/investorrelations/presentations/Husky-Cenovus-Transaction-Presentation.pdf 2) "Husky adding $100 million to deep Basin, Montney drilling program": https://www.jwnenergy.com/article ...more
