The problem with usa refinery was?

Poor utilization of just 74%...........sounds to me that they had some pretty big problems compared to last year......i do know refineries are very costly and require alot of expertise to run properly........in that reguard cve appears to have failed

need need a very good forecast on future downstream processing demand as maintenance and outages do cost cashflow, plus the eventual mothballing it which is quite expensive.

the forecast is gasoline and diesel still in excellent demand  LOL A fore warning for those who thinking about EV, once you are tied to the grid, the gov't can cut off your power with a click of a mouse if you disagree with them.  For those who only cares about making money and damn the trucker protesters, something similar to chinese social credit will be coming to canada.  ...more

I forgot to add, this is why trudeau and world gov't are so anti oil and pro green energy (IE electrification).  ESG, EV incentive, carbon tax, global warming are all a disguise to get you to electrify your life, and get monitored and controlled. They don't give a rat a$$ about saving the environment.

I'm on the fence with regards to their refinery operations.  I want to see the higher earnings.  The whole idea behind synergies was to be able to operate at much higher margins since they have an endless supply of cheap feedstock, something that Husky didn't have.  But is it really cheap if you could just sell the barrel at WTI prices?  AP says that their refinery ...more

You want to see downtime and Costs going through the roof start skipping planned maintenance.  Startups are startups.  Yes there will be bugs to work out but Everthing been repaired and fixed up.
