Does anyone else find it odd that this story has not made it to any of the business channels ? A refinery fire , how is that not news worthy ? Generally when workers die the press is all over it .......... would it be they would have to acknowledge the loss of 3.8Mbpd of gasoline production ? The refinery only uses 160,000bpd of crude but the loss of gasoline production will add up .

I find it sad that there is no Press Release of condolences on CVE's website, and on Twitter CVE did acknowledge deaths but labelled the Refinery BP-Husky: https://twitter.com/cenovus/status/1572629462344257537 They should take better ownership of this event, suspect Lawyers involved.

Good point. I wonder if CVE has clauses in their buyout offer to handle a case where there was clear negligence by BP that disrupts the facility operations.

This will have to be renegotiated.
