Oct 6 - CVE Files Sep NCIB Share Buybacks

Again a reduced monthly total of only 2.33 mln shares for total CAD50.0 mln.

I calc this levaes 31.1 mln left in current NCIB, good news is all bought back in last 1/3 of month when shre price dropped below $25, so that seems to be their buy point, so I expect stopped again in Oct as price has popped up.

For total Q3 they have bought back CAD427 + 200 + 50 = CAD677 mln, lower than Q2's CAD1,018 mln.

Thanks  John: What is the latest estimate for CVE net debt to end of 3rd quarter 2022?  Anybody have the latest on this>

I thought they were targeting 4 billion.  Tender is for something like 1.7 billion in notes.

Good point but I can also see that minimum buy point rising as WTI rises. With OPEC+ insisting on a $90 floor the new buy limit may increase to $30 CAD as $25 CAD may become the new SP floor and AP already said they would be buying under $30 CAD. Pretty astute and forward thinking by what I consider to be the best CEO in the industry. GLTY and all.
