Debt reduction

Kind mf of odd and disappointing that heee deduced debt 5.1 Billion last year and it is going to take 3 more wuarters to bring it down 300 million to point where dividend likel to take a big jump based on framework f ncreasef return to investors at 4,0 B net debt versus 4.3 B net debt now.  Just a marked change (slowing) in pace of debt reduction.

The two kinds of debt seems to make a difference here. Why is CVE's net debt lower than its longterm debt? Because it has cash and receivables that lower that longterm debt value to a lesser net debt amount. CVE adds to its net debt every month in the form of bills and operational expenses and then it subtracts from its debt by paying those bills with its cash that it gets from receivables ...more
