Down to 28.13 - Who All is Loading Up and Averaging Down

I think the price is still too high to be buying in yet but to be honest, if it gets down around 23-24 bucks it will probably be a good time to pick some up. The Bank is not being run well at all but it isn't so bad you can't make a few bucks getting it at the right price.

There was little positive to glean from the last FS. ...They don't have the retail base so rate increases won't help margins. They know what's coming with the higher reserves as many of their clients will struggle with the rates. I will be back in at $20...

I have always believed in legging in to positions, I would buy the first 1/4 at 23, then put in limit buy orders at 21, 20 and 19.. If it drops that low, you get to average down, if 23 or 21 ends up being the bottom I still have picked up some. I fully agree with you that higher interest rates is not going to help CWBb's earnings because so much of their loan book is funded from hot money ...more

Wrote this in June, and a bunch more afterwards. Shares had already dropped a lot.. At 20-23 you ca n make some money on CWB. Personally I hold TD and Royal becuase I never buy the runt of the litter and then hope it turns into a great performer, but others have a different view.

Once held CWB @ $7.00. Sold a few years ago. I will own it again @ $20.

$7.00 is just amazing!   Did you buy in 2009 or was it early 2000's? who knows if it will get to $20 but if it does, I'll be buying right alongside you!  Best of luck and congrats on that $7 purchase.

Early 2000s and long since sold. The company has some internal hiccups to get over. Not sure their business model is even sound. They think they know retail but they haven't a sniff. Still a client but their customer service and systems are low end.
