It was a great company

How  sad what has happened to this company since the previous CEO left. Just sad.....

Yes, selling the company for +100% SP. Moving the share price from ~25 bucks to 51 bucks - very sad. mugs

I agree with you mugs. This was NOT a great company and it traded at half its book value and a discount to the rest ofthe banks for a VERY good reason. It was not growing well and despite quality assets, returs were at best mediocre. It would have never got to this valuation under the old leadership. The buyout means the assets will be properly managed and will grow under the far superior ...more

I third that! Unfortunately many of the staff mgmnt are/were and maybe part of the new bank...not an option for me given past performance..i'll wait and see who gets promoted from within CWB
