Futures

started at -130 and now is doing better at -62.

Should be OK by morning since there is no more fighting in Paris

Scruggstyle - no need to apologize, I think your intuitions are correct, and suspicions warranted. I fell numerous times for this also and my antennae are up as well. Then again it could be some sort of manifestation of insecurity. Lol

What is wrong with me asking how the market will react Monday morning (futures) and then seeing things won't be as bad as some thought. Don't you guys see what happened in Paris a threat to the market? Correct intuitions and suspicious concerns etc... Guys I am on your side here. Take it easy. One other thing. No, drug stocks are seen as a defensive sector, a place to hide in uncertain times.

I just checked the overseas (Europe) markets a 1/2 Hr ago and both the France (CAC 40) and Germany (DAX) were positive, while the UK FTSE 100 was slightly negative. Just now, on re-checking, the U.K. FTSE 100 is now plus .26% while the DAX & CAC 40 went negative. China closed at +.73%. I was surprised that France's Index was positive today at all, but perhaps this indicates the markets won ...more

Your concerns are not warranted and the futures are up now. I was just worried there would be a sell off at the open.
