51.23

If im not wrong, someone seems to be missing. Perhaps another alias !  My son is sitting on USA cash, is there any advantage? I looked up Nas and the stock seemed cheaper, all things considering. Is this realistic?

US dollar is .7518 in relation to CND. So %51.23 CND is equal to $38.50 US. Price is exactly that. Nothing cheaper. Now from here to end of year, if you think our CND dollar will drop to .70 the buy CXRX in US. If you think that our dollar will go to .80US, then buy CXR. I think we will go higher in the dollar. Buy CXR Canada.

CJ- yes i agree, money 'll be expensive after interest rate hicks. As planned by liberal party to borrow the money for economic growth. The value Canadian$ .ll be down hill as well. what do you think (as a long) turn cxr to cxrx. or change you money to US.

I'm using a tfsa and I thought there's no difference in tax treatment since its a canadian company paying US dividends. Can anyone confirm? Thank you :)

has it been confirmed that TFSA amount has changed abck to 5500?...and yes I looked into Div issues with US companies and you lose the withholding tax or as CJAlberta said just not worth the pain BOO

But CXRX is not a US company, it is a CND company paying in US dollars. It is kind of tricky. BUt dividend is not much to worry about.

for shares of CXR Canada, they give out a US dividend of .075 meaning 7.5 Cents. I got .0984 CAN. or 9.844 Cents.

Because there is a 75% chance of them raising rates, this is already, "pretty much" factored in. If there were a 10% chance and they raised, then I agree with you. Canada on the other hand, if they drop rates, then this could be a problem. I didn't know they would though.
