IBB Pre-market
As of right now, IBB pre-market is showing a +1.5% uptick.
Let's see if the trend continues and perhaps we'll have some tangible evidence to confirm or refute claims being made about this particular ETFs having a significant relationship to the sp of CXR.

One day's action will not prove a correlation or negative correlation. You will have to use a much larger pool of data and a much longer timeframe to make a case for either.

Absolutely. Started noting data yesterday. I suppose we could use previous data as well. I'm of the belief that they move independent of one another for a variety of different reasons. Otherwise, why not just buy IBB instead of CXR? GL.

f2d2 is covering himself by saying it's only 50% correlated + 50% uncertainty. For anyone really interested it should be relatively straightforward to back test his theory. But I'd be surprised if this hasn't already been done.

At 10:00, IBB minus 1%, CXR plus 2%. The computer is broken and CXR to the moon !

not so fast, yesterday, if you remember, vice versa. This is only catch up. Nice try.

Lets check if I understand everything. Ibb is trading at 22 E/P, and Cxr will have 2016eps of $9.00. If we multiply it makes $198.00 per share ! outch !!

Did you look at what I linked, 5 year chart? VRX to IBB not CXR since CXR is 2 years old

What was the correlation coefficient? How long was the period you measured this and for what data? As I am not sure yahoo finance has intraday data, I assume you were looking at closing prices? Please back your assertion.

Really? That is interesting, as comparing close for each over the past year (to Jan 13 last year), I get a correlation coefficient of 0.807. Which says to me they are correlated. By what measure are you saying they are not? Marcel

I can see you understood nothing, lol. Check the 2 charts which I copied and pasted and you will understand. Check my earlier post with the links.
