Allan Meyer

Remember I am long CXR.

On BNN now said CXR has debt and get caught.
I know STOCKCOACH has posted that the debt isn't a problem.

Why is it that the calculations that STOCKCOACH has done for us, why can't these analystsa
also do?
If it is that obvious, these are experienced fund managers who want to make BIG money
for their clients and themselves.
Why is it STOCKCOACH can explain it to us but these guys, in the field for
over 30 years say "the debt is a problem??????

Herb the trader from Montreal that never quotes, according to "Angela" the lattice lettuce chef multi-account basher that can't remember all her other accounts.... LOL You've answered your own question.  These BNN clowns are there to fool the public to make money for themselves and their paid clients.  Do you think all these brokerage dudes like the little retails ...more

PROtrading, I worry when someone on this board thinks that they are better than everyone else and these professionals, are fools. This type of attitude isn't the best in evaluating stocks.
Comment by PROtrading on Apr 01, 2016 1:53pm
fdfd12, you're a market guy right?  Regulated under IIROC right?  Let me tell you something, I like your style.  I quickly glanced at your posting history and you appear to be a brokerage trader that tries to call it the way you see it.  That's nice.  Very nice. Don't stop. But come on, from my perspective as a retail guy, I am shocked by the amount of ...more

I am not a brokerage trader or IIROC. I listen to and respect everyone. Then, I make up my mind on which way to go.
Comment by PROtrading on Apr 01, 2016 2:12pm
Fair enough.  We have different styles.  I respect nobody associated with the markets; they have to earn it. You telling me your are a retail trader or a portfolio/fund manager?
Comment by fdfd12 on Apr 01, 2016 2:19pm
There are no fund managers on these boards. They are too busy to be here.
Comment by PROtrading on Apr 01, 2016 2:23pm
FALSE!  One pro trading guy on another board said he was a fund manager and based on his posting history, it's makes perfect sense. So, fdfd12, if you aren't a retail investor, what are you?  You seem to be avoiding that questions with vague answers.
Comment by fdfd12 on Apr 01, 2016 2:35pm
Retail investor
Comment by PROtrading on Apr 01, 2016 2:48pm
OK, don't be dumb retail ok?  There's way too many already being led around by various manipulating clowns. Here's one poster who  says he're brokerage and a fund manager.  Short posts, all TA. WinniePup the fund manager I can tell you for certainly there are a lot of brokerage and fund managers here and a pile more paid bashers paid by them.  Most of them ...more

Because debt can be a problem if there is unforeseen crisis just as a mining co would be in trouble if their mine collapsed or the price of the commodity drops by 50% (think oil). Right now, CXR has the ability to meet debt obligations without difficulty and the potential to make it less of a concern with accelerated payments OR increasing profits. Debt is a talking point for these commentators ...more

If debt isn't a problem for CXR, shouldn't these guys know? Why wouldn't they do the research that STOCKCOACH has done? They manage more money than you and me put together. Why are we coping out of the situation by saying "these guys don't do the research and they don't know". This is once again, showing respect to their abilities.
Comment by sunshine7 on Apr 01, 2016 2:23pm
Maybe they do and maybe they don't. I am saying that yes, debt is a risk but no, debt is not a problem due to high cash generation relative to sales. There is a difference. ALL companies carry risk. As each quarter passes and performance is able to be trended, the risk goes down.
Comment by PROtrading on Apr 01, 2016 2:30pm
fdfd12, stay with facts.  You're good with that. Fund Managers have an obligations to their clients, not to the sheepie viewership of BNN! The debt is not new, the risk of credit downgrade isn't new, the cash flow from operations is not new. This is just a simple sector wide short attack started with the "scumbag of pharma" who is ... oh!  a hedge fund manager " ...more

I disagree. They go on TV in an effort to recruit more clients. If they say CXR is a big risk and it goes to $100 +, then they will lose clients who were thinking of joining them. Look at the hot guy, Jason Doneville. He came on BNN and said CSU, CRH etc... and it worked out and he is the hottest guy BNN has.

Fdfd12, I thank you for your compliment, but is it just me that is seeing the above contradictions?
Comment by fdfd12 on Apr 01, 2016 3:02pm
Stockcoach, I don't see any contradictions. Maybe poorly written by me. Please tell me where. What my message above is the following. "Stockcoach has done calclulations and come up with "debt is no problem". These analysts like Allan Meyer HAVE ALSO done the numbers and they feel debt is a problem or could be."
Comment by adamchess on Apr 01, 2016 3:24pm
fdfd12: With all due respect, i think alot of these "analysts" are just brokers who mostly smooze with clients. You can be in the business for 30 years and have some expertise with the older companies that have been around a long time, but I seriously doubt most of them know Concordia like some of us do. If they do know it, and they still don't like it then maybe they feel there are ...more

Valid point. We know CXR better than them since they have to look and analyze 500 stocks and hence, can't follow it as through as we do CXR.
Comment by Stockcoach1 on Apr 01, 2016 3:15pm
You  just showed disrespect and painted the 30 year seasoned analyst as a fool compared to me, and yet in the same breath you harp on PROtrading for doing same. It's so blatantly obvious, that I can't beleive you're even asking.  What's your game FD?
Comment by fdfd12 on Apr 01, 2016 3:23pm
LOL you completely misunderstood my point.   Why is it STOCKCOACH can explain it to us but these guys, in the field for over 30 years say "the debt is a problem?????? To clear out the bi-polarness, LOL. When I said, "why can't these analysts do the calculations that Stockcoach has done, I said it ironically. What I meant was OF COURSE they have done the numbers because they are pros and managed bigger money than we do. WHY CAN"T ANYONE UNDERSTAND THAT by reading between the lines. Respect the guys on BNN.
