Buyout

With yesterdays's results, I would expect an offer to now come sooner than later.  If you were going to offer $50US (or any number) for cxr, you now want it out ASAP to appear to offer as large a premium as possible before the share price runs too high.  Thoughts?

That was my feeling as well, the longer that CXR is able to execute on its business plan the more valuable the company becomes and the higher the pric for a take-over. I expect we will see good buying next week on this basis.

I agree.  With the addition of new drugs coming on screen the potential for exceeding forecasts has a much higher probability.  Any potential buyer now sees this much more clearly and would want to capture the upside of this scenario.  We the shareholders, might like this in the short term, but in reality we want MT to keep executing this plan as a public company for the foreseeable ...more

I don't see anyone making an offer until after the UK vote. Access to the EU is important for UK pharma. In fact I suspect that issue will form the spin for the next round of short attacks after they regroup. Blackrock announced yesterday on Bloomberg that they were exiting certain UK strategies until after the vote. So if I was to wait until after the vote, which I think will be to stay, you ...more

Good point but I really think the current SP makes CXR way to attracitve.    At the end of the day people get ill and need drugs.....  In or Out....  CXR has debt in pounds ... this in itself creates a bit of a hedge.   I agree that they will stay... but you never know GL
