KKR

Any thoughts on the progress on the TO possibility ? Is the fact that KKR bought roughly 5% of the shares a bad omen ? I know it gives a boost to the credibility of CXR, but what are the implications here ?

KKR are incredibly astute investors.   They are not the kink of firm that sits  on the sidelines.  I would say that they purchased 5% with a very clear outcome in mind.  I remember what they did with Shoppers Drug Mart in a 4 year  time frame (article  below) Canada has been very, very good to Kohlberg Kravis Roberts. If you want to know how the operate watch Barbarians At The Gate with James Garner. It show how KKR went from operating H&R Nabisco to taking it over. They are not crooks, but boy they are ruthless in their pursuit of money. What are the implications here? Well, they will want to make a lot of money, quell suprise! And, we will make some too!

Its chump change, KKR has 120 B AUM.....however, I agree with you, something is in the works....as much as I believe that MT wants to run this thing to where he see's TRUE VALUE....the environment is ripe for a PE deal to be struck.  I just hope that the number does right by the Shareholders and I suspect that the Chicken Farmer will be surprised just what that number comes in at.....GLTA ...more
