Wall Street Journal reported (using anonymous sources of course) says "Final bids for Concordia were due Tuesday, but Blackstone Group LP and Carlyle Group LP decided not to participate, the people said." and "said Apollo was one of three potential investors in the current round of bidding, but it isnt known whether Apollo decided to submit a final round bid." ... discuss

Sunshine: I want someone to explain to me how the first report states that the buyout is imminent then three hours later another report says two bidders are out. How come we are not talking about how " imminent " is the buyout and instead are concentrating on the fact that two bidders are out, when n reality I don't think they were ever in.

ROLLER007....ok lets talk about an iminent buyot for a second.....assuming appolo is left as the only ones left...then now they have leverage to bid low since nobody else is left to contend their bid....whats the point...if thats the case why not shut the door on a buyout....the damge done today wont improve withought a deal

Regardless: fair point, but the more important point is that Cxr walked away from two offers and showed the willingness to get fair value for the company even at the risk of Lossing the bid.

If Appolo submitted a bid not knowing that the others did not make the deadline, then their bid is fixed and above the reserve. They cannot retract after offer is made. Greenhill is experienced at these things. We may hear news very soon.

Drug pusher: if that's the case then it's even more of a $hit show. Two totally contradicting reports within hours. This was masterfully orchestrated and I have to tip my hat to these motherfickers. I knew all along that blackstone was not the suitor so I never really paid close attention to the first report.

Silverbull: the word on my street is "imminent". It's also mentioned in today's first report that everyone is neglecting to mention. That report did not name the suitors.
