Swimming against the tide

After a long pause and hold I started adding to my position today. I'm sitting plus 100k shares as of today and will be adding more Monday since I have enough powder for about 10k more shares.  I'm declaring my position to show that I not pumping Cxr to my benefit as I Totally believe in the extreme manipulation that occurred yesterday to destroy lots of margin buying into the head wind of the buyout news.  That's the only common sense theory from my experience in the markets.  I'm putting more of my Money where my mouth is at and will gracefully take all the critic if Cxr is not sold as well as the financial loss.   Feel free to dump on me when Cxr announces that no buyout will occur, I will take it like a man, and the opposite is true if my theory comes to fruition.  I think lots of short positions closed yesterday and we are very close to the end of this gut wrenching roller coaster.

And btw there were more than three suitors in persuit of Cxr.  The actual number is more than double that.

Yes I am. Had 73k shares so was up around $350k until the drop where I ended the day down 350k from the opening price. So I swung 700k in one day.  Overall though I'm under water considerably.

Select1011: before my purchase today  I have been at around 72 k shares for a month.  I don't know where you got 170k.  I will never sell one of my shares until the takeover is announced.   But you keep on trying real hard to discuss matters that are irrelevant to the current events.  Let's make a gentlemans bet buddy, if Cxr get taken out you throw a party for the ...more

Deal was imminent with Blackstone. Now it is not imminent. Here is the link. Now that imminent is OFF THE TABLE. You are risking too much and I don't know how you can sleep at night. I am problems and I trimmed my position from 18% to 12%. You have convinced yourself that that a takeout will happen. I have convinced myself that MT will not accept any offer less than $65USD. I also have ...more

FD, I don't know why you keep repeating APO with market cap of only $3B. APO manages PE funds and from their website they state "Our private equity business had assets under management of approximately $38 billion as of March 31, 2016." What is of more concern is that none are healthcare businesses... yet.
Comment by fdfd12 on Jun 04, 2016 7:21am
Sunny, I find it hard to believe that a 3B market cap can buy another . Reminds me of the CXR mess that they are in.
Comment by Lumberfeverlong on Jun 04, 2016 8:49am
FD, Sunshine is right. Apollo would use one of their funds and not own equity to do a deal. Apollo is valued on the basis of fees they generate for the assets they manage which, if Sunshine is correct as regards the value of those assets, Appolo's funds could easily buy CXR. It would be a bite size meal for their funds. To say that a smaller company can't buy a larger company.  That ...more

Did you read that article fdfd12? Interested in your opinion as an objective long. It looks to me like there is actually going to be some political action in the UK regarding this pricing loophole. The article digitel posted is just from yesterday in the dailymail. It certainly looks like it puts a bigger cloud over a buyout and can potentially really damage the fundamentals as any price ...more

Comment by sunshine7 on Jun 04, 2016 12:03pm
They can close the loophole, will take time and can they really make it retroactive?
Comment by fdfd12 on Jun 04, 2016 12:15pm
I read it but is the gov't going to say bring your prices down 1000%? The only thing gov't can do is to tell them they can no longer raise them wildly anymore. This is waht I was talking about. For CXR's stock price to say at these levels, things will be found out at a later date. I have said often, Hillary tweet and being PREZ. Then UK telling CXR and others to no longer charge those ...more

That artcle links to another one in The Times labeled basically calling this extortion. I'm wondering if this will turn into a Hillary tweet that plunges the market cap of companies with exposure to the UK market. Both articles were written yesterday so this looks like it is certainly turning into a current hot button issue that could do alot of damage. Not only are the major publications ...more

Roller, I want it as much as you, this TO, but tell me why you're quoting this ''imminent'' thing frequently ? Words were ''Blackstone'' , ''deal'', ''imminent'', and although none of the sources are confirmed or verified, which leaves me skeptical, the next info that came out was that the ''Blackstone deal'' was ...more

Good job CN Also you saw when it was imminent, stock flew 10% at the start of day. When it no longer was, it dropped. Moral of the story. Today down 6% so not imminnnnent. Roller, god rest your soul.

Fdfd: my soul is very rested on my fluffy money filled cushions. See I can be an arrogant priick as well.  Keep the blinders on brother.  You are the perfect example of a sheep that follows.   Just remember that the lion doesn't concern himself with the matters of the sheep.  You will hear my roar when all the dust settles

Cninvesting:  finally someone noticed the wording of both reports. " credible sources". " can't be identified". " sources close to the company". It's all manufactured reports.   These desperate measures shows me that many are scrambling and trying everything they can, even lying, to drop the price.  Yes it worked and SP tumbled but the very ...more

I would put money on the probability that the leakers knew Blackstone and Carlyle were never really interested so they floated those names knowing how they could exploit the follow up leaks that those two left the show. It really is a well constructed plan and I agree that they have made a killing from this stock.
Comment by Roller007 on Jun 04, 2016 7:57pm
Puma: don't discount the possibility that blackstone was the one that orchestrated Thursday's events with all their hedge fund friends. 7.2 million shares? Come on the screams set up and insider manipulation.  And the worst is that they now will make even more money on the way up.
Comment by puma1 on Jun 05, 2016 7:50am
Roller: they are too smart to be the leaker and the leaked. Blackstone looks at so many deals and since they r really the distressed real property gurus they were great candidates for the whip saw ride put in motion imo.
Comment by Roller007 on Jun 05, 2016 7:58am
Puma: I disagree.  Think of it this way, they are too smart not to take advantage of the situation and make a few hundred millions of dollars especially in a stale market where there are so few undervalued assets.  Knowledge is money and they had the power of knowing priceless info in Cxrs case.

Roller007 deserves mention and understand this chess game. Very good. Puma1 is a player.  Is he part of the dark team? To be a good player in this game, you need to understand the players and understand which side they are playing from.
