Jason Mann past picks are his idea of "investable"

So Cxr is not investable but two his last three investable top picks are down 25% each.  And his third was shorting teck resources at $12 where he covered around $9 but the stock went to $3.  This loser is another bnn genius.

GOOD READ, these BNN expertss are all over the map , they must use darts when making their picks, and not much invested !

It is better to focus on the reason Mann gave for it being "uninvestable": the swings. Another way to say it is, 'Not behaving on fundamentals, therefore it's only fit for speculating and not for investing.' Analyze his reason, not his past performance (which is irrelevant). This concludes the logic lesson for today. .

Sorry Lattice but the cash flow of 92M per Q is enough. Andrew Mcreath had MT on and asked him CF will be aout 350M/year and MT said yes. Q1 being the weekest Q for the year and they did 92M which is 368M pace. Mcreath invested in CXR with those numbers and the numbers will be better than expected. Therefore, CF is enough.

I will generalize again, because I seem to enjoy pissing into the wind on this bullboard: Buying or holding in expectation of a buyout offer is speculating. Buying or holding in expectation of growth in future cash flows is investing. .

I'm not passing judgement on CXR. Not publicly, anyway. .

LETTUCE...Total hogwash... Another scare tactic about cashflow. You shorts will make up any excuse. MT has shown you CF in Q1. What the hell are you doing on this BB if you have no investment in CXR , that's like a faggot in a stripper bar. And if you are invested in CXR , then you are a moron.

I was about to ask the tu lettice and friends, why you are here. Can you explain this to us?
Comment by Marcel7 on Jun 04, 2016 6:08pm
We all know why they are here. And no, they will never actually say it. Marcel

And another point Roller, I think Mann said that he shorted in Sept 2014, which means the $20-$24 range, not $12. Covering at $9 from a $22 short after 16 months was a good trade. Not a bad performance at all. Playing with other people's money is a little different.
Comment by Roller007 on Jun 04, 2016 1:05pm
Twiker:  no you are wrong. He specifically said I shorted it at $12. If you are going to debate my point then please get your facts strAight.  And I don't give a hoot about his logic as its the same logic that led to his past pick performance.
Comment by TickerTwit on Jun 04, 2016 1:34pm
Your comment should be directed to @miscstuff. But now that you have involved me ... Mann got the basic direction of the call ("short") correct, and was only wrong on the timing (and magnitude) of the bottom (everyone got that wrong -- I follow Teck very closely). Faulting someone for that is specious; only gawd calls bottoms, and only because gawd has insider knowledge. Back to your ...more

Ticker:  I didn't get it wrong. I waited until it hit the 2009 low of 4ish and bought it there. Made boat load of money selling it later and put it all in Cxr where I will make millions more all as you are trying to figure out the colour of the sky.   Use more logic in ur arguments and less philosophy. Shoot me a message when Cxr pops and I will tell you exactly how many Millions I ...more

I have written nothing about 2009 or what you were doing then. I'm discussing Mann's comments on BNN and your comments on his comments. You're now off on several unfounded tangents, and I'll leave you to enjoy them alone. I won't see your response (ignore coming -- my experience here on SH is that your type of receptive disorder is incurable) so make the most of the last word.  ...more

Lattice: he can be smarter than me, I'm ok with that but in Cxr situation he is missing the real market action.  Anyway time will tell who the smart one is.  And just for fun I will explain to the smart one why 2009 matters in teck resources case.  If you shorted the company in2015 at $12 level then you need to  wait for it to hit 2009 low of 4ish or so to cover,something ...more

LETTUCE.... Another stupid analysis .... How do you know who is smarter... If we are comparing investment profits... At first glance I would have to give it to roller... He"s made more money than you can count to.
