My relaitonship with CXR

I know I am a fool for trying to long this stock. I bought a few shares at $96, and then averaged down 5 times. This morning I held 257 shares at an average price of $47.35. To me this was a lot of money and I was considered "all in" on this account. Then today, as you have seen it dropped nearly 15%. Not sure what to do, hold on till next earnings release and hope for a small uptick or hold on to it? It begun this morning with 4% down and then hit 17% down. I sold 257 shares at $18.80 and threw it all in Gold. (IMG(280) and ABX(100) - to be honest those transactions are pending) In any case, if any of you out there are like me, a small player and this stock is in your portfolio and you intend to hold on to it. Please message me. Even though I am out, I would like to root for some of you out there. This corp, to me, is cancer. If I knew how to short, I'd short the fk out of it

I think it takes more guts to short CXR at these prices than to buy.

You are probably right. I already feel better, despite me realizing that loss.

Yeah I feel for you Roger. I'm in a similar position but I'm holding till earnings. My bath will probably be signficant but I need to know wtf is going on from Management. I need to see the numbers of the statements. Most importantly, I need to know wtf is going on with the strategic review. In last earnings call, MT called for investors to be patient and we'll be rewarded. The only ...more

That's how crazy (maybe stupid) I am, that I believe CXR will pull itself back up. I just don't want to gamble on it anymore after losing 60%.

I felt better too, after clearing out (weeks ago). Making the commitment to 'move on' has probably dumped a sh!tload of dopamine into your system after months of stress. I would honestly like to thank Lattice, for the immediate 'high' after heeding his warnings and selling, and give him credit for being able to allocate money I would have lost, to shorting energy and oil, for which ...more

That. I'd add since we're in behavioral economics that the longs' judgement of risk/reward is upside down. The common conception being that the greater the risk, the higher the perceived reward of an investment will be. In this case, the more they think it's going to shoot up, the more they like it, the more they like, the less they think it's a risk. In truth, the risk of ...more
