Yes there is an inverview as he said on BNN this morning but more importantly Andrew said he di not have any CXR shares anymore as he has completely sold his position.....so he is not a believer in the stock  anymore.......its just an interview

The interview is next Friday not this Friday and the time is after the market is closed.....so no reaction till the following Monday.....

I have have no doubt that a deal is in the works. MT has given his deal team over a week to paper the deal before speaking publicly about it. Again, given all the negativity around the stock and company, there would be absolutely no upside for MT to appear on BNN and open himself to questions, unless there was something positive to announce.  This is very good news. I agree with you. It's probably just an interview as MT has been completely silent since the horrible earnings release. I wouldn't make anything of this.

I'm thinking the strategic review will come to a close next week with no results.  If a deal was on the table, it would have leaked a little and the stock wouldn't be consistently hitting new 52 week lows. The shareprice would likely tank if they close the review with no redults and MT would go on Tv to try and smooth things over and say things like "the business is firing on all

Seems extremely risky to go on a tv interview with someone who will grill him when there's a list of class action lawsuits against the company for securities fraud/misleading statements etc. Why would he open himself and the company up for further litigation when they could release a lawyer reviewed stmt? Something doesn't add up here but I think we'll soon find out what's actually

Well Dave, fundtrader has a friend who he says could easily "gobble up" 20 million shares (warren buffet?). He's loading up, if you believe him, maybe you should too?

Oh yeah, i forgot he said they were meeting with management today to discuss things. Funny how management would be meeting with potential new shareholders when they are in the midst of closing a deal to be bought?

Thanks for the info re. the interview with Mark Thompson. A few comments: 1) There may in fact be a takeout announced before then with MT coming on TV to sing the praises of the deal and encourage shareholders to vote in favour of it. 2) I think it would be pretty embarrassing for him to come on the show to comment on the status quo after CXR failed to meet earnings guidance, took a writedown
