A primer on GAAP and "financial engineering"

A few posters here have mentioned that GAAP and other reporting methods used by the company can potentially be abuse.  I generally invest on the long side but I seriously considering takeing a short position now on CXR.  I would normally be buying based on the oversold condition (RSI 15) but it's pretty clear that things are going to get a lot worst before things get better (if at all!)

Anyway, don't get fooled by classic investor financial indicatrors like PE, PEG and all the promises based on growth.  This merger and acquistion pharma company is not growing, on the contrary, its contracting.  Its last acquisition might eat it from the inside.
