Why are the Shorts Always Silent During a Run Up in the SP?

Has anyone asked themselves that question?  The stock hit a wall in the mid-2s.  The run up was the only way to reshort and make money doing so on CXR?  The intricacies of stock manipulation are beyond my comprehension, but the silence from the short camp during the run up was ominous.  And now they are all back like a dog on a bone.  Even Lattice or someone using that moniker has reared his ugly head.  Go figure?!?

Yes, that is why it is a tremendous short.    The momo traders took it up...  now the dump For people here saying TD was the Biggest buyer, TD Capital is not buying, it is TD's direct investing clients.   Know the difference between institutions themselves doing the purchasing (and TD is not) and their clients who are executing retail trades through TD.
