Artis and dream unlimited

It's now evident that artis and dream together wanted the cash of the DIR units. You can look at it as a weak exit price or a proxy to return dir cash to them in a tax efficient manner.  They probably talked and knew what each other were going to do thus the max tenderering approach.  Sly

"Artis and partnerships managed by Sandpiper Group sold an aggregate of 2,409,568 Units pursuant to the SIB (of which Artis sold 2,185,035 Units)" Artis tendered their entire position but the SIB being oversubscribed meant only 2.185 million units were successfully tendered.  It looks like only around 7-8 million units were tendered to the SIB by investors with the rest tendered ...more

Everyone thought SIB was a mop up of weak retailers and a takeout was in order....the exact opposite happened in every way.  Crazy man, after this SIB with D and AX I like owning Riocan/HR/PMZ much better. No games just simple business model and healthy balance sheets
