By the end of today, by my reckoning, about a quarter of the free float will have changed hands in the last 7 trading days.  There's no particular catalyst I can see over that period, but there are some big moves being made here.

What is the route by which Samir and co. gain control?   Acquire a meaningful position and go activist/call a vote? Typical playbook. Cooper/DRM only got 30%ish.

i think his first option is just to be chatty with cooper who doesnt have any other huge investors in office to my knowledge. in the past he praised cooper. not sure how they feel today but could still be on relatively friendly terms. cooper's conflict of interest in my view is using the baby reits as business tools for his asset management business - although office is a small component of ...more

Thanks, that was more behind my question. I am wondering what compelling case Samir would make - what would he propose to do differently than Cooper that would garner enough votes? Has he been publicly critcal of the current approach!
