hey red, you have to be nimble and able to make decisions without tax implications on stuff like this.  i'm  neither so that's why i'm slowly shifting to etfs.  there are lots of low fee etf's with identical holdings that you can trade with different adjusted cost bases to allow for income tax. but in the long run we are all dead so f*ck it dude, let's go
