Q1 results

Any thoughts out there as to tomorrows results release? Q1 21 will be hard to beat but hopefully Q1 22 will still be solid. With reporting in Cdn $ the US exchange rate may give them a boost as well. GLTA

Ist Half of 2021 was exceptional as lumber prices hit all time highs .. especially in 2nd Q. (April/May). DBM made 44 cents per share in 1st Q 2021. TD WebBroker est. earnings for 1st Q 2022 is 36 cents per share average (.27 to .42) Lumber p[rices have bounced back nicely in 2022. In fact , looking at futures data, average prices in 1st Q 2022 werer about $300 higher than in 1st Q 2021. There ...more

Yes, impressive 1st Q. One of my only concerns was whether their 2021 acquisitions (Hixon in particular) would prove to be as accretive as anticipated. The "largely due to contributions from the company's 2021 acquisitions" seems to confirm they are. Big increase in Revenue to $851 M. The gross margin is slightly less than in 2021 but I expect it will improve as they fine tune ...more

Amar Doman did indicate that they anticipate ""HeadWinds"" going forward__interest rates, inflation, etc__BUT also indicated that his TEAM HAS StickHandled Thru MANY HeadWinds in Past Years.
