The merger makes a lot of sense.  For every penny that RGD increases DC.A should increase two cents.  So far RGD is up $0.15 since the announcement yet DC.A is only up $0.10.

Catscratch, Dundee had 36 million shares of DPM. DPM moved from $1.50 to $8 , however DC did not  even add 50 cents. It stay around a buck . I am not sure what is holding DC.A down . Cheers

Back then there were problems with the Dundee Zoo and Casino which overshadowed DPM.  I remember CCs when Bob the CFO sounded depressed taking us through the numbers.  Chicken coop burnt.  Cattle weight loss.  Fish problems.   I visited the Casino.  It was beautiful, the food at the steakhouse was delicious and drinks at the lounge were great.  ...more

Definitely PTSD from Dundee 1.0.  It will take some time Jonathan to regain the market's trust but if Dundee continues to execute well in mining and consistently grows NAV, institutional investors will gradually return.  So far I'm pleased with all of Jonathan decisions since becoming CEO with the exception of the pref to debt swap (but hopefully Dundee will sell a legacy asset ...more

TheCount11 , I remembered Dec 07 was my daughter's birthday and we were about to get ready for party when I watched the news that there is a huge fire in Burlington . It was Tender Choice meat factory. Blue Goose paid $20 millions to acquire Tender Choice . A year later the building burned to ground. We have been going thorough so much in past 10 years.  cheers

There were a lot of challenges before they shifted to the mining strategy. It was one thing after the other. Dundee finally has some wind in its sails.  I'd like see more directors and execs buying stock and more share buy backs.  That would send a strong message to the market that Dundee has its house in order.

Thank you Catscratch! I am hoping before general annual meeting , the share price stay above 1.50 . I would like to join for Annual meeting this year as I was last year. I feel this year the mood is different than last year. Good luck

Is there a lot of room for Dundee stock price to run well past $2.50 by Dec? If the market for Dundee stock was efficient the answer would be no. But the market is hardly efficient. Just a couple of months ago the stock traded at $0.70 while a couple of days ago it traded traded at $1.33, almost double! Dundee is trailing Reunion and Magna on a 3 and 6 month basis. Let me repeat as Dundee is ...more

TheCount11 - I appreciate your optimism.  However... 1) Eleven years ago the DC.A shares were trading over $30.00 each and the slide has been going on for ten years.! 2) You wrote "In the past many investments did not pay off..."  In fact it would be more appropriate to state "In the past most investments did not pay off..." 3) I do not expect the FDA to approve ...more

Hey Pierre! I understand your frustration with management and appreciate your call on TauRx.  Let's see how this unfolds! Cheers

I think Dundee is on the right track with Joanathan.  In my experience it always takes longer than you'd like to implement significant change like they have at Dundee. My recent frustration is with low insider ownership other than Jonathan Goodman.  There are still several directors who are not shareholders.  Tanya Covassin, Isabel Meharry,  Allen Palmiere own no sub ...more

Very well said!  Be nice to see the board step it up and increase confidence which will attract a higher share price. For me Dundee risk is to the upside now vs 3 years ago when there are quite a few unprofitable operating businesses.  TauRx isn't pounding the income statement quarter after quarter like the Zoo was yet FDA approval would be a game changer. As you pointed out ...more

Goodman's brothers(son?) are large holders, with David Goodman over 2m shares and Mark Goodman over 1m shares.I believe they also own shares in the Jodamada Corporation.
Comment by Catscratch on Apr 29, 2024 1:18pm
Yes, the Goodman's are large shareholders which is great but they also control the mutliple voting shares so there is a possible conflict of interest there.  I want to see the other directors and executives own the same stock as me on the same basis as me (i.e. they bought DC.A with after tax cash) so I can sleep well knowing they have the same interest as me.  Some directors have ...more
