Jon Goodman strategy
Was listening again to the last August Ressource Talk interview with Jon Goodman. Dundee was then trading at 1.41. It is worth a listen or relisten for anyone invested in Dundee.
He goes through briefly reviewing his portfolio highlighting Magna (was then trading at .81) and the other investments. He sure did come across very bullish on Magna. And explained why they sold GMIN.
His main point : non producing juniors are basically trading at 10-20% of NAV. Producers at 80%. You can get at 4-8 bagger. Huge arbitrage and their sweet spot. Did mention that it might be time for Dundee to roll up their sleeves and help bring some to production. This requires capital and this is where they will invest excess cash. Already spent some with the latest Magna placement and Green
As to the stock price and closing the valuation gap : buy back preferred (done), reducing g&A done I would guess after selling Investment Counsel and bringing cash flow in (Borborema royalty). No mention of tender.
Seems clear to me, let Jon compound capital.
