Remember June 24th 2021 (Dundee 2.0)

DUNDEE CORPORATION’S SHIFT TO DUNDEE 2.0 GATHERS MOMENTUM

Toronto, June 24, 2021 – Dundee Corporation is pleased to announce that at its Annual General Meeting of shareholders (“AGM”) held earlier today,
At a meeting held immediately after the AGM, the Board unanimously reappointed Peter Nixon as Chair, and, on the recommendation of Jonathan Goodman, Dundee’s President and CEO, appointed Steven
Sharpe as Executive Vice Chair, effective Friday, June 25, 2021.

Mr. Sharpe’s mandate is to rationalize Dundee’s portfolio of legacy investments and operating subsidiary companies. His appointment will facilitate the Corporation’s transformation into an active investor solely
focused on the mining sector
by permitting the Dundee management team to focus on that strategy.

Jonathan Goodman commented:
“We welcome Steven to our leadership team in his new role of Executive Vice Chair. We believe that with his skillset, expertise, and senior leadership experience, Steven is perfectly suited to execute on one of
our key strategic objectives, namely, rationalizing our portfolio of legacy assets. With him leading this initiative, Dundee’s efforts in this regard will clearly accelerate, and we can sharpen our focus on building
Dundee 2.0 as an
active investor in the mining sector.”

Folks this was over three and half years ago.  Look at our balance sheet. We still have hundreds of millions of dollars invested in "this and that" which has nothing to do with the mining sector.

After three and half years, management  should finaly move to clear the deck. Patience is running thin.

Hey Pierre, What do they have remaining in the This and That category ?   TauRx and Android, am I missing anything else ? The only reason I can see for not selling : no buyer.   We now have a potential exit for TauRx.    No idea about Android but carrying it at 26 M in the books so not a big part of NAV.  Anyway, they got ride of UCP as well as Investment ...more

"What do they have remaining in the This and That category ? " Where do I start?  Taking a quick look at the most recent financial statements Sept 30, 2024, I came across: "In August 2024, the Corporation repurchased from a former executive a 10% interest in AgriMarine," "During the nine months ended September 30, 2024, Dundee Agricultural Corporation, a wholly ...more

From what I understand, Agree Marine and Blue Goose are liquidated and carried at 0. Dundee Tech : do not believe this was on the auction block.  I would venture that it can pay off quite handsomely at some point in time.  Anyway, this is mining related. Dundee 360 : This is a JV in France.  Was carried at 6.8 M in 2022 and they intended to carry to maturity expected in 2023.  ...more

don't forget the debt... At September 30, 2024, the outstanding borrowings on the Earlston Loan were $5,000,000 (December 31, 2023 – $14,000,000) at an effective interest rate of 13% (December 31, 2023 – 12%). We swapped 7.5 ~ 8.8% pref equity for a 13% loan with fees. Rather than increase our mining we assets we actually decreased them but increased agri. Is it time to get Goodman out of ...more
