HA! Well...sucks to be me!!

I sold HALF at $5.99 some time ago, not sure how much past $6 it would go.
Figure I'd take some on the dip before next announcement...

haha I don't think so.  Dang.

It never sucks to crystalize a capital gain. I was in the same boat. Sold all I had at $5.99 thinking I could buy back lower. When I realized I made a mistake I bought it back at $6.05. Sold that this morning @ $6.24 and now have put the profits into a slightly higher amount of DF instead at $4.99 (now at $5.10). With this market there's always another opportunity for you coming along. Good ...more

Selling anything these days seems like losing out because everything's running up. How long will it be like this?  Will anyone sell in May before going away?
Comment by flamingogold on Apr 12, 2021 3:26pm
We are sure due for a 5-10% selloff, maybe in May or maybe when we get closer to herd immunity with vaccinations in the Fall and everything starts opening up. But, it will be a buying opportunity and not a run for the hills moment. Hard to time. Best to stay invested as we have a while to run with the recovery play even with a correction. Trim on any ridiculous gains and keep some loose change for ...more

The next split to cross the line will be LFE.  Might already be very close.

Thanks for that Ed, I do not have that one on my watch list but it looks good even if VERY narrowly focused. I'll watch for the update from Quadrevest after the 15th.

Had LFE for a $1.30's average which I bought during the eye of the storm last year.... a bargain now. Sold my shares around $3 for capital gains only as LFE is usually one of the last to pay and first to stop. I'd rather hold some of the regular paying splits going forward. If we crash and burn again I will be sniffing around for cheapies.

Actually I've been thinking about the "Sell in May and Go Away" strategy, but hesitant to do it for fear of missing out on further gains. If I told you here how much I am up (including Realized Gains, Un-realized Gains, Dividends less Margin Expenses and Trading Commission and my monthly subscription to Stockwatch) I would definitely be accused of bragging. From Jan 1st to current ...more

Personally, I'm not concerned for this year as everyone's excitement over defeating corona will spill out into spending in the economy.  Especially in the USA.  I just checked their numbers and they're almost 22% inocculation already.   My bigger worry is with all the excitement, will there be a massive pullback in Q1 2022? Or will this year's momentum instead ...more

Boom yes. Roaring twenties. We know what follows, we just don't know when. Maybe months, years or will we repeat 1929 in 2029 with a monolithic crash in cryptocurrency, real estate and stocks. Scary stuff. But for now, thankfully, the market is only looking at the near future and what we see is an unprecedented bounceback in jobs and an astronomical expectation in corporate profits of up to ...more

The beginnings of a boom to last 2 or 3 years..

Ha, thx for the encouragement! But look it's at $6.41 now!! I can't even get DF it's way past $5 now too! I may have to chance an expensive buy-in just to get dividends, then average down later.
