DGS holdings not moving up for the most part

SO dropped my bid for DGS, trading at a premium while many other split funds are trading at a discount, LBS,SBC,  FTN and FFN to name a few.
Pecked away at some more FFN this am....wont miss paying anytime soon, and the yield is higher than DGS...

There's a reason why LBS, SBC, FTN and FFN are trading at discounts....  all financial, all un-diversified, mostly the same basket of equities just mixed around.

Yes and all have had  % gains that make DGS gain since Aug 1 look sick. I still like the banks, and would dump any that have Suncor and TRP...

For the record I currently own some FFN, picked some up when it hit the low $7's. All stocks have their growth spurts. YTD, DGS has outperformed FFN. That's because when all the fiscal stimulus was unleased the financial sector took off before the overall recovery. DGS had to play catch up. Chart

I like the chart flamingogold supplied, I just wish we could chart nav too.  FFN has the fastest growing nav.

Well kind of my point... cherry picking, which is why I pointed out the YTD comparison to your August one. Anyway, we're splitting hairs. both have had stellar runs. In fact I first entered FFN back around late last summer when the board was silent and enjoyed a nice capital gain before flipping over to DGS in the mid $3's which is a position I still hold.
