Question regarding DIV history

Started investing in DIV a little while back, probably for the same reasons everyone else has (strong royalties, smart management, weathered what should of been a crippling pandemic etc etc) but I noticed something I didnt notice prior to buying that I normally would of researched.

Googles timeline, refer to max

The stock in the early 2000s was up at like 30 bucks --- was there a reason for this? I know what the stock is now, but normally like to have the history of what I invest in and somehow missed this because its not discussed anywhere on the internet that I can find. There is also no real discussion of this in the history of the stock on the DIV website either which is unfortunate. Any history would be greatful,

Cheers,

That sounds surprisingly familiar, I think there might of been an episode based on this story (now that I know where to look): Castle Season 2 Episode 10: One mans Treasure Follows a very similar storyline. with a little bit of "TV flair" since the resolution had not happened yet (episode aired in 2009 vs conviction in 2016). Thank you for the history lesson :)
