Good Sign

Board member Johnny Ciampi certainly sees something positive in recent developments. He went on a bit of a buying spree on Friday ....as part of the recent offering and as an acquisition under prospectus. This was to the tune of 100,000 shares.

I agree it's a very good sign.  I still haven't forgotten that there was a large purchase before the share issue came out, which indicates someone likes the company's prospects. The company now has dry powder to use for a new deal.  Perhaps Mr Ciampi thinks it will be put to good use.

I still believe that Sean is looking at an Aeroplan deal with Air Canada.   Now that AirMiles is gone, it is the perfect time to get an Aeroplan deal done.    AC also came out with crapp_y earnings recently so they may well be looking for a quick cash injection.

Hmmm...pretty sure any transaction DIV could afford would be completely immaterial to AC.  I think it's more likely the other way - BMO will buy back the Air Miles royalty instead of paying out to DIV.   But again, probably not a big enough transaction to bother with.

Add to that that Air Miles isn't gone, I highly doubt DIV has any interest in another airline loyalty reward point deal anyway.  Or at least I'd hope not. As for Barburrito it's quite good and was busy the day I went.  But if you want a comparison to Chipotle, look no further than Qdobas if there is one in your city.  It's an almost identical concept but Qdoba's ...more
