When i visited the plant, DRX was working on a Hydro Quebec contract.
The guide told me that there was many more contract bid in the pipelinefor Hydro-Quebec.
The work DRX was working on was for the electical grid.
Yesterday,Hydo Quebec announced a plan for a mega project wind farm.See below.
This project is not for tomorrow. It will take years before it gets started but if it happens,
it will be more than HUGE.
There are not many Quebec based company that has the production capacity to supply these
huge needs in a timely fashion.
Again, these are the kind of contract potential that tell me that DRX will be busy for
years to come.
Hydro-Qubec has announced plans to develop its first mega wind farm over a vast territory to the west of Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean as it pushes forward with an aggressive clean-energy strategy under chief executive officer Michael Sabia. Mr. Sabia is lining up partners and financial backers as he carries out a $185-billion strategy for new energy infrastructure that aims to wean Quebec off fossil fuels. Under the plan, Hydro-Qubec would spend up to $110-billion from now until 2035 on new clean-power generation facilities and another $50-billion to improve the reliability of its electrical grid. Additional operating expenses will make up the balance of the estimated spending.
