I vaguely remember reading that Bank of America held one of the largest silver short positions in the world.Do you know anything about this,Baldy?If so,could this compromise the bank's solvency?

Jamie Dimon is intelligent as heck. He would not undertake any operation that would backfire on him without insurances from his Uncle Sam. Even if the leverage their physical to paper as custodian of SLV the fund itself says they can settle with paper. So Jp keeps the physical and gives the slv smucks fiat.
